Top Toy Brands

Top Toy Brands

Everyone has a favourite toy brand. Each month, Kids Parcel is completing a number of surveys to find out which brands are the UK’s favourite top toy brands. We do this to ensure that we know which brands to try and include in our Kids Parcels.

Here is our list of favourite toy brands so far. Each month we will add more brands to the survey and update. What do you think of the list? Let us know on Twitter and Facebook which brands you think are missing and which should be higher or lower.

October 2016 update

Below is the first chart of Top Toy brands. It is missing a few brands at the moment (like Peppa Pig and Star Wars) but based on our survey and other factors, here is the current list of top brands.

  • Lego (Normal)

It is not a surprise that Lego is number one, it is everywhere from videogames to movies in 2016. Loved by adults as much as children, this continues to be top of many people’s Christmas lists.

  • Paw Patrol

Paw Patrol has taken over from Thomas the Tank Engine as the number 1 preschool boys brand.

  • Hatchimals

No-one seems quite sure whether these are any good or not but everybody seems to want them. Hatchimals has been tipped by our Toy Research Team to be the hot present for Christmas 2016.

  • Batman

Batman was by far the most popular superhero in our survey, with Superman trailing behind. A new Lego Batman movie coming to the cinemas will only increase the Caped Crusader’s popularity.

  • Lego (Themed)

Everyone loves themed Lego. There seem’s to be a different theme every week now from Minecraft Lego to Simpsons Lego but Lego Star Wars still remains the most popular theme.

  • Play Doh

Big tubs or little tubs, Play Doh is very popular with younger and older children. In recent years, they have expanded the range to include Disney, Star Wars and Superhero themed sets.

  • Crayola

The Toy Research Team love Crayola. The popular stationery brand got lots of votes in our survey.

  • Furby

2016 brings the latest version of the Furby and again it looks like it will be popular, although it is perhaps being overshadowed in Christmas 2016 by Hatchimals.

  • Disney Princess

Disney Princess remains a popular toy for young girls. Surprisingly, Toy Research Team are telling us they prefer the other Disney Princesses to Anna and Elsa from Frozen.

  • My Little Pony

My Little Pony has gone through many incarnations in recent years but it seems to be working as My Little Pony was rated very highly by our Toy Research Team in the October survey.

Here are the list of brands who just missed out on the top ten.

  • Thomas the Tank Engine
  • Transformers
  • DC Superhero Girls
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • Frozen
  • Avengers
  • Monster High
  • Doh Vinci
  • Barbie
  • Superman
  • Lego Friends
  • Mega Bloks
  • Scentos
  • Duplo
  • Power Rangers
